FAQ

Questions, answered

How do payouts actually work?+
You earn a commission on paid invoices from coaches who signed up through your code. Those earnings show up in your dashboard in the currency the coach paid in. Once your balance for a given currency clears the minimum (£40 / $50 / ₹4,000), you can request a payout. Admin reviews every request manually, and once approved, Stripe Connect transfers the funds to the bank account you connected during onboarding.
When do earnings become available?+
A referred coach's paid invoice starts showing up in your dashboard as earnings. Payouts are still reviewed manually before money is released, so ambassadors always have a clear human review step rather than an instant auto-payout. Your commission terms stay the same: 30% for the first 12 months, then 10% for as long as that subscription stays active.
What happens after someone signs up through my link?+
The visitor lands on an ambassador-branded landing page at trainedby.fit/r/<your code>. If they click through to pricing, your code auto-applies at checkout. Once they sign up and pay, they're attributed to you in your dashboard and their earnings activity starts accumulating there.
Are my terms locked, or can you change them later?+
Approved ambassadors keep the commission schedule they were approved on: 30% year one, 10% forever, per currency. We may launch future cohorts with different terms, but yours don't move. Your commission schedule is visible in your dashboard.
Do I need to be a fitness coach to be an ambassador?+
No. We care about audience fit, not your niche. If you have an audience that includes working online coaches, you're a candidate.
Do I need a certain follower count?+
No hard minimum. We care about audience quality and fit more than raw numbers. A 5k niche audience of working coaches is worth more than 100k generic followers. Tell us what you know about your audience in the application.
How do I influence what TrainedBy builds?+
Every ambassador can submit feature ideas from the public roadmap page or via the Ambassador inbox. We review every idea, group them by theme, and post the active build queue publicly.
Is there a contract to sign?+
No paper. When you accept your approval email, you accept the ambassador terms visible in your dashboard. We can both end the relationship at any time, and we pay out everything owed through your final referred invoice.
